A mixture of prunes and beets is a traditional combination of products that many of us know and love. However, we usually use these ingredients to make a classic salad dressed with butter. But today we will make a completely different snack from the same ingredients - prunes stuffed with beets. This is a great winter dessert snack. It is delicious, hearty and healthy. The dish will diversify the daily menu, decorate the festive feast and bring health benefits. All incoming components are worthy of only laudatory odes for both taste and health properties, and in a duet - a real vitamin charge!
This delicacy is complemented by almond chips. But you can replace it with a more affordable walnut. In addition, walnuts are a classic combination with prunes and beets. Beets for this recipe can be boiled or baked. The cooking time in both cases will be the same, about 2 hours. At the same time, keep in mind that the most useful method is baking, because during cooking, some of the vitamins are digested. Therefore, it is up to the chef to decide which method of cooking beets to choose.

- Cooking time - 20-30 minutes, plus time for boiling or roasting beets
Ingredients:
- Beets - 1 pc.
- Almond shavings - zhmenya (optional)
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Mayonnaise - 1 tablespoon
- Prunes - 200 g
- Salt - 0.5 tsp or to taste
Cooking prunes stuffed with beets:
1. First of all, boil the beets in boiling water with the addition of salt for about 2 hours until soft. Or you can bake it in foil in an oven. After the root vegetable, cool completely. Since this is a very long process, I recommend preparing the beets in advance, for example, in the evening. After the vegetable, peel, grate on a medium grater and add the garlic passed through a press. I do not recommend using a coarse grater, because beetroot shavings will look ugly in a snack and may fall out of prunes.
2. Pour almonds to the beetroot mass, season the food with mayonnaise and stir. Also taste it and add salt as needed. The consistency of the beetroot mass should not be too liquid, so do not overdo it with the addition of mayonnaise.
3. Wash prunes under running water and pat dry with a paper towel. If there are seeds in dried fruits, then remove them first. After the berries, unfold into two halves, while making sure that they are fastened together.
4. Put the beet mass on one half of each berry, on top you can add a little more nut. Cover the filling with the other half of the berry and refrigerate it. You can serve an appetizer to the table after half an hour.
