Step by step preparation of dried grapes, recipe with photo:
1. Select whole, fleshy bunches of grapes with dense-skinned berries. Wash it under running water. If there are spoiled berries on the bunch, remove them.
2. Spread the grapes on a cotton towel and leave to dry completely.
3. Place the bunches of grapes on a baking sheet. If you wish, you can remove the berries from the vine and arrange them in one row. Send the grapes to a preheated oven to 55 degrees for 2-3 hours. Keep the cabinet door ajar to allow steam to escape. During drying, periodically turn the branches with grapes over so that they dry evenly on all sides. Finished dried grapes are considered when they are soft, but no longer stick to your hands. Store it in a glass container with a closed lid or paper bag in a dark place at room temperature and moderate humidity.
Note: The simplest and most proven method is drying grapes in the sun or in the shade. Arrange the grapes on a thick wire rack or piece of plywood in one layer. Cover it with a layer of gauze on top - it will protect the fruit from dust and midges. Take the grapes out in the sun or shade and dry until they are dark amber with a tint of wax. Bring them indoors at night, and take them outside in the morning.
