With a large number of subcutaneous fat deposits, it is impossible to give a beautiful relief to the muscles. Find out how liposuction can be used in bodybuilding. Even with insufficient development of the abdominal muscles, they will have a more attractive appearance in the absence of fat deposits between them and the skin. Thus, it is necessary to do specific exercises and adhere to a proper nutritional program in order to look beautiful. Nowadays, liposuction is very often used for this in bodybuilding.

The technologies for carrying out this procedure have become more sophisticated and more and more often among plastic surgeons you can find men who want to remove excess fat from the abdominal zone. Thanks to this procedure, the body can be made more perfect. However, such results are often impossible to achieve with dietary nutrition programs.

Liposuction process

Liposuction begins with small incisions in the skin, after which the fat is removed using small tubes called cannulas. Their size is directly related to the contours of the body and the amount of fat that needs to be removed. Generally, during such an operation, general anesthesia is used. This is how the classic bodybuilding liposuction is performed.

It should be noted that incision marks remain on the skin after surgery, and many patients were not satisfied with the results obtained. As a result, a technology was created called tumescent liposuction. For the procedures using the new technology, modern ultrasonic equipment is used, thanks to which the process of suction of fat has become easier. At the same time, there is practically no damage to non-adipose fibers, the patient recovers quickly enough, and the results are much better.

With tumemescent liposuction, a fairly large amount of liquid is used, but it is significantly less in comparison with wet liposuction. In this case, the fat cells are filled with water and then sucked off. When using the technology of tumescent liposuction, a solution of mineral salts, local anesthetics and adrenaline are injected into the adipose tissue. In this case, local anesthesia can be used, but often patients still choose general anesthesia. Pain after the procedure lasts on average for 16 hours, sometimes a little more.

The emergence of a new technology for liposuction in bodybuilding has pushed more people to carry out this procedure. To a greater extent, this is relevant for owners of a superbody, since the risks of a poorly performed procedure have been sharply reduced.

The main factors influencing the success of the procedure are the size of the cannulas and the skill of the plastic surgeon handling these surgical instruments. This directly affects the time of the procedure and the amount of fat removed. In addition, the size of the scars left on the body after the completion of the operation also depends on the size of the cannulas.

New technologies and risks of liposuction

When the patient is on the operating table and the surgeon, after the introduction of anesthesia, begins to dim the general lighting, rapid falling asleep can only be hindered by the understanding that ultrasound equipment for liposuction is not currently approved by the relevant organizations. However, this fact does not mean that it cannot be used or that it is not legal. The technology was just a bit ahead of its time.

It is very difficult to trace the safety of such operations, since only one of the equipment manufacturers reported complications. This term should be understood as a lethal outcome. However, in addition to death, there may be other complications that are not reported anywhere. So, say, vibrations from the use of ultrasound can only be weakened by modern titanium cannulas, which cost several hundred thousand dollars. Most often, third-generation metal cannulas are used, which are also able to reduce ultrasonic vibration, but there is information about cases of their destruction inside the body. At the same time, even titanium cannulas have a limited number of uses.

Let us assume that the equipment is working properly and your surgeon has extensive experience in performing such operations. However, certain risks remain:

  • The skin is heterogeneous, which occurs in about 3% of patients and may require an additional procedure.
  • Discoloration of the skin.
  • Changes in the activity of the nervous system, which is associated with the death of nerve endings at the sites of the procedure.
  • Fat necrosis and fibrosis. This complication occurs in 4 percent of patients. During liposuction, small pieces of adipose tissue can come off and remain under the skin, causing pain.
  • Long-term drainage.
  • Serous mass.
  • Dying off of areas of the skin.
  • Burns.
  • Lethargy of the skin.

However, any surgical procedure carries with it certain risks. If they do not stop you, then you should find a surgeon who has extensive experience in liposuction in bodybuilding.

With the use of modern titanium cannulas and the high skill of the doctor, the procedure for removing fatty deposits will be as refined as a surgical instrument. The new generation of cannulas is a very delicate instrument that, in the right hands, can perform a real miracle.

It should also be noted that after liposuction, carried out using modern equipment, the recovery process does not take much time. A week after the operation, the athlete can start using cardio loads, and after another week, start strength training.
