Step by step preparation of meat rolls stuffed with prunes, recipe with photo:
1. Wash the meat, dry it with a paper towel, cut it lengthwise and open it like a book. If there is a lot of excess fat and film, then cut them off. Beat a layer of meat on both sides with a kitchen hammer, salt and pepper, and grease one side with mustard. If pork is too fat for you, use veal, beef or chicken instead.
2. Peel the garlic, cut into small pieces or pass through a press. Wash the prunes and cut into pieces. If there are seeds in the berries, then remove them first. Steam very dry prunes with boiling water for 10 minutes to steam. Put pieces of prunes and chopped garlic on a layer of meat.
3. Gently roll the meat with a roll and twine or regular cooking thread and tie the roll to give the product a neat shape.
4. In a skillet in vegetable oil, heat the oil and place the roll. Fry the roll on all sides over medium heat.
5. Then cover the frying pan with cling foil and send to a preheated oven to 180 degrees for 15 minutes. If the pan is not suitable for the oven, transfer the meat to an ovenproof dish.
Serve hot rolls with any side dish. Once cooled, however, they can be served as cold cuts of cold meats.
