Do you want to cook something especially for your birthday? The best choice is a super chocolate cheesecake with a chocolate filling, drenched in … what? That's right, chocolate!

Everyone in my family loves no-bake cheesecake. Therefore, I immediately decided that we would have this particular chocolate cheesecake for the birthday of the child. The filling was Oreo cookies, and the bright M & Ms were perfect for decoration. For my taste, this is the best dessert with chocolate: very tasty, melting in your mouth, you don't have to bother with the dough when preparing it, because for its base we use any shortbread cookie you love. It is very important to choose good heavy cream for the cheesecake, and cream cheese can be substituted for soft curd. I will not say that such a dessert is very simple, but you will not try it - you will not know, so follow our detailed photo recipe and, I am sure, this chocolate dessert will obey you!

I prepared the cheesecake in a large springform pan with a diameter of 28 cm. The dessert turned out to be quite high, at least 5 cm. If your pan is 18 cm, you will get the same cheesecake height by halving the amount of products.

Step-by-Step Cooking Chocolate Cheesecake in the Oven

First of all, get everything you need from the refrigerator so that all the ingredients are at room temperature. It is important! Prepare the base: grind shortbread cookies into crumbs and add cocoa powder, mix so that the crumbs are evenly colored in the color of chocolate.

Melt the butter and pour it into the crumb. Mix to get a homogeneous pliable mass, similar to plasticine.

We cover the bottom of the split form with a uniform layer of sand mass, tamping it tightly with a spoon or the bottom of a glass. We place the mold in the oven for 10 minutes, bake at 180 degrees.

Combine cottage cheese with sugar and stir in eggs, which we add one at a time. If the cottage cheese is dry, then you should first grind it through a sieve.

The curd mass should turn out to be homogeneous with a delicate texture.

Warm 400 ml of cream to a temperature of 90 degrees, avoiding boiling. Break 2 chocolate bars into small pieces and dissolve them in the cream, stirring occasionally. Leave the cream to cool to room temperature.

Put about half of the creamy mass on a sandy cheesecake base, lightly level the surface with a spoon or spatula.

Place the Oreo cookies on the surface of the cream. I fit 10 pieces, which I positioned at a distance from one another so that when cut they look like islands inside a cheesecake. If you want a layering effect, then stack the cookies as close as possible, filling in the gaps with broken pieces. Put the remaining half of the cream on top. We lightly hit the table several times so that the voids between the cookies fill up and the air comes out.

Bake the cheesecake on the middle shelf at 160-170 degrees for 60 minutes. Place a pot of water on the bottom shelf. This water bath is good for baking cheesecake as it helps it bake evenly. The dessert should have a quivering, jelly-like middle. Leave the finished cheesecake for another 1 hour in the oven with the door ajar. When the dessert has cooled down, cover it with cling film and send it to the refrigerator overnight.

During the night, the dessert finally tightened, acquired the desired consistency. Remove the film, carefully use a wet knife blade to separate the cheesecake from the walls of the mold and transfer it to a serving dish. Pour with chocolate icing (bring 100 ml of cream almost to a boil, add the remaining chocolate bar, grated on a grater, mix until smooth and chill), generously sprinkle with bright dragees and remove for half an hour in the cold.
