It is prepared from a stretch dough, which is rather difficult to make on your own. But to enjoy a tasty morsel of Viennese strudel, while saving time, you just need to have a thin Armenian lavash on hand. The most ordinary pita bread, juicy apples and a little imagination will do the trick! - Thin Armenian lavash - 1 pc. oval
- Butter - 30 g
- Sugar - 2-3 tablespoons or to taste
- Ground cinnamon - 0.5 tsp
- Apples - 5 pcs.
Step-by-step preparation of a quick apple strudel from pita bread, recipe with photo:
1. Put butter in a skillet and melt over medium heat. Make sure that it does not start to burn, otherwise the taste of the dessert will deteriorate.
2. Wash the blocks, dry with a paper towel and remove the core with bones. Cut into 3 mm thin slices and place in a heated skillet with melted butter. Add sugar and cinnamon powder.
3. Saute the apples over medium heat until they caramelize and golden brown.
4. Cut the oval pita bread in half into two portions. Put half a serving of fried apples on each part of the pita bread.
5. Roll the pita bread or roll it as you like. In the pan in which the apples were fried, fry the pita bread on both sides until golden brown or bake in the oven on a greased baking sheet for 10-15 minutes at 180 degrees. A quick apple pita strudel is ready and can be served with a dessert table.
