Duck is the most popular dish at festive feasts. Recipes from it become popular not only during the hunting season, but also all year round, because the bird is perfect for a festive table. However, it becomes especially popular on New Year's holidays, where duck is a traditional dish.
Duck is prepared for the holidays in a stewed or baked form. But the easiest and fastest way is to bake. This is the best way to prepare it. Because the bird is not only tasty, but also looks much more attractive and beautiful.
Duck is baked both independently and with filling. You can stuff it with all kinds of products, because it will still be delicious. In addition, stuffed duck - two in one, both a side dish and meat at the same time! Most often it is stuffed with cereals, cabbage, oranges, dried fruits, quince, apples. These foods can be consumed as a meat supplement. After all, a fragrant duck with a golden crust and a side dish lying on a platter - what could be tastier?
In this recipe, I propose to stuff it with several products at the same time: apples, pumpkin and prunes. Although, if you don't like any ingredient, you can replace it or exclude it from the recipe.

Ingredients:
- Duck - 1 carcass
- Apples - 2 pcs.
- Prunes - 100 g
- Pumpkin - 150 g
- Mayonnaise - 50 g
- Salt - 1 tsp or to taste
- Ground black pepper - pinch or to taste
- Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
Cooking baked duck in the oven with apples, prunes and pumpkin
1. Peel the pumpkin and cut it into medium-sized cubes. If the peel is difficult to cut, then hold the vegetable in the microwave for a bit. It will soften and be easier to cut.
2. Wash the apples, remove the seeds and cut into 4-6 slices, depending on the size of the fruit.
3. Wash prunes and pat dry with a paper towel. If there are bones in it, then remove them first.
4. In a bowl, mix mayonnaise with soy sauce. Add salt and ground pepper.
5. Wash the duck, scrape it with an iron brush, remove the feathers if they remain. Take out the fat near the tail. Wipe the bird with a paper towel and start stuffing it. Place food alternately. Put some of the apples first.
6. Then send the pumpkin cubes.
7. Followed by a portion of prunes. Continue to stuff the bird with food, alternating between them.
8. Fasten the skin in the place of stuffing with a toothpick or stitch with a thread so that the filling holds well. Cover the bird with the marinade and let it sit at room temperature for 1 hour. You can keep it for longer, but then keep the carcass in the refrigerator and start before baking.
9. After this time, place the poultry on a wire rack, which is placed on a baking sheet. Heat the oven to 200 ° C and send the duck to bake for 1, 5 hours. Then reduce the temperature to 180 ° C and cook it for another half hour.
10. Transfer the finished poultry to a serving dish and serve hot.
