Baked dumplings with mushrooms and onions in a pot are a great alternative to the classic boiled dumplings. In the oven, they languish at a high temperature, which makes the filling softer. Any semi-finished products are suitable for the recipe: frozen, raw (only cooked together), boiled, fried … But the result of the meal will also be different. Keep in mind that the frozen food inside the pot will stick together, and this does not threaten cooked or fried dumplings.
If you want to diversify the taste of the dish, add all kinds of additives. You can add liquid to the pot: broth, sauce, milk, cream, water … The dietary version of the dish will turn out under the lid. If the pot is open, then it is better to “close” the dumplings with grated cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise. This will provide the food with a golden brown crust.
Any recipe for dumplings in a pot in the oven is simple to perform and does not require any exotic ingredients. Therefore, if you want a cozy home holiday, arrange an unusual dinner by making delicious dumplings. - Dumplings - 10 pcs.
- Salt - 0.5 tsp or to taste
- Mushrooms - 200 g
- Ground black pepper - a pinch
- Cheese - 50 g
- Onions - 0.5 pcs.
- Vegetable oil - for frying
- Garlic - 1 clove
Step by step preparation of baked dumplings with mushrooms and onions in pots, recipe with photo:
1. You can use any mushrooms for the recipe. It is most convenient to work with artificially grown mushrooms or oyster mushrooms, because just wash them. If the mushrooms are forest, then they require preliminary cooking. Just defrost frozen forest mushrooms, because they are boiled before being prepared for future use. Rinse canned mushrooms under running water.
Cut the selected mushrooms into strips or cubes.
2. Melt the butter in a skillet and add the mushrooms. Fry them over medium heat for 5-7 minutes.
3. Peel the onions, wash, chop in half rings and send to the pan with the mushrooms.
4. Season food with salt and black pepper and cook over medium heat for 10-15 minutes.
5. In a saucepan, boil the salted water and lower the dumplings. Bring them to a boil, reduce the temperature to the minimum setting, close the lid and cook for 2-3 minutes less than indicated on the manufacturer's packaging.
6. Transfer the finished dumplings to ceramic pots. Do not completely pour out the water in which they were cooked.
7. Add fried mushrooms and onions to the dumplings and add 3-4 tbsp. broth that remained from cooking dumplings. Instead of broth, you can pour dumplings with cream, milk, sour cream, natural yogurt.
8. Sprinkle the grated cheese over the mushrooms. Close the pot with a lid and place it in the oven for 20 minutes. Cook them at 180 degrees. Serve the baked dumplings with mushrooms and onions in pots right after cooking. It is not customary to cook such a dish for future use, because it will lose its aroma and taste.
