A simple and easy-to-prepare daily dish - baked liver with sour cream and vegetables. I recommend it for an everyday menu in a perfect combination with boiled rice and mashed potatoes. Step-by-step recipe with a photo. Video recipe.
Chicken liver with vegetables and sour cream is a budget but tasty dish. The most important thing is to cook it right. Then there will be no more "soles" and curdled sour cream. Most often, the liver with vegetables is fried in a pan, but today we will make it in the oven. It is equally important to choose the right chicken liver for the dish to turn out to be excellent.
- Don't buy frozen food. After defrosting, it is unlikely that a really tender and juicy liver will turn out.
- Pay attention to the color of the product. High-quality chicken liver has a smooth surface with a burgundy tint.
- Do not take the torn pieces of liver, they make the dish tasteless. But this does not apply to dishes where the liver is minced in a meat grinder.
- Examine the surface of the offal; there should be no greenish spots on it. This suggests that the gallbladder was damaged when cutting the poultry. It will be almost impossible to get rid of this bitterness.
Given these subtleties when buying an offal, you will definitely not spoil any dish. Chicken liver with vegetables in sour cream will turn out to be very tender and tasty. At the same time, I note that you can take any set of vegetables to your taste and availability in the refrigerator. For example, a vegetable set can be supplemented with carrots, bell peppers, young zucchini, etc.
