This very simple, but tasty and aromatic dish will leave no one indifferent. It doesn't take long to prepare them. Because the ingredients required for this recipe are the simplest and are often found at home. Although puffs can be made with any filling that you like the most. It can be sausage, balyk, mushrooms, apples, pears, cottage cheese … The choice of filling is limited only by imagination and mood.
The dough can be bought ready-made in any supermarket. Purchased ready-made puff or puff yeast dough often helps, because is universal for the preparation of any baked goods. But if you want, you can make puff pastry yourself. But repeated rolling, folding and cooling of layers, not every housewife attracts. A good dough should have at least 27 layers, and it will take at least 3 hours to prepare it. Therefore, many more often a semi-finished product is purchased in a supermarket. Moreover, its price is affordable.

Ingredients:
- Purchased puff pastry - 300 g
- Ketchup - 1-2 tablespoons
- Flour - for sprinkling
- Cheese - 100 g
- Milk or butter - to lubricate the puffs
- Ham - 150 g
Step-by-step preparation of puffs from ready-made dough with ham and cheese, recipe with photo:
1. Remove the dough from the freezer and defrost naturally without using the microwave. The dough will melt at room temperature in 45 minutes. Then dust the worktop with a rolling pin with flour and roll out the dough into a thin layer about 3 mm thick. Try to roll the dough in one direction so as not to break the layers.
2. Using a sharp knife, cut the dough into equal rectangular pieces about 10 * 15 cm in size.
3. Apply ketchup to one half of the dough and spread it, leaving about 5 mm free space from the edges. On the second free part of the dough, make cross cuts at a distance of about 1-1.5 cm from each other.
4. Cut the ham into thin slices or any other convenient shape and place on top of the ketchup.
5. Cut the cheese into thin slices and place on top of the ham.
6. Cover the filling with the free edge of the dough and join the edges. For beauty, you can walk along the edge with a fork, leaving teeth.
7. Grease a baking sheet with vegetable oil or cover with baking parchment and lay out the puffs. Brush them with butter, milk or an egg so that after baking the baked goods have a beautiful ruddy shade. Heat the oven to 180 degrees and send the puffs of the finished dough with ham and cheese to bake for half an hour. When they are browned, remove the baking sheet from the oven and leave to cool.
These pies can be served not only for breakfast with coffee or tea. It is convenient to take them with you to a picnic, on the road or to work.
