- Cooking time - 30 minutes, plus time to defrost the dough
Ingredients:
- Purchased puff pastry - 200 g
- Cheese - 75 g
- Sausage - 150 g
- Ketchup - a few spoons
- Flour - 1 tablespoon for sprinkling the dough during rolling
Step-by-step preparation of roses with puff pastry sausage, recipe with photo:
1. Remove the dough from the freezer and leave to thaw. Do not use a microwave oven or sunlight for this process. Leave it at room temperature. It will defrost in about 30-40 minutes. Then dust the countertop and rolling pin with flour to prevent the dough from sticking and roll it out into a thin layer of about 3 mm. Cut the dough into long strips about 2 cm wide.
2. Brush the dough strips with ketchup. If desired, you can use more mustard or mayonnaise to taste.
3. Peel the sausage from the film and cut into thin rings about 2-3 mm wide. Cut the sausage rings in half. Place the sausage halves on the dough strips so that the sausage semicircle remains free.
4. Sprinkle the cheese shavings on the sausage. This can be done at will.
5. Gently roll the dough with the sausage roll. If you are afraid that the rose will unfold during baking, fasten it with a wooden toothpick.
6. Place the puff pastry rosettes on a baking tray. Send them to bake in a preheated oven to 180 degrees for 15-20 minutes. The finished product is delicious to use, both hot and cold.
