One of the most popular shortcrust pastry products is grated pie or curly biscuits with jam. Traditionally, a product is prepared with currant jam, but at home you can make baked goods with any other jam, it will turn out equally well. For example, any fresh or frozen berries and fruits, jams or preserves of the desired consistency will do. They use strawberry, cherry, apple, apricot, peach, plum and other fillings. In our version, pear filler is used. The most important thing in the filling is that it is not too runny. When experimenting with filler, you need to adjust the amount of sugar. Because the cake should not be too sweet or too sour. Especially when using cherry, plum or lemon as the main ingredient.
The dough can also become not only the basis, but also the highlight of baking. For example, you can add vanilla sugar to the dough, it will give a vanilla taste, cocoa powder - chocolate aroma and taste, lemon juice or orange peel - the filling will be favorably emphasized with sourness. Curly Pear Jam Cookies are a great addition to your morning coffee, outdoor teas and family gatherings with friends. The pie will delight both adults and children.
