The classic Potato cake requires a sponge cake. You can bake it yourself or buy it in stores. But experienced housewives have simplified this work to a minimum and use any baked goods that are available at home or in the store. Biscuits, waffles, buns, etc. will do just as well. This will greatly simplify and speed up your work.
This delicacy is traditionally made in the form of a potato with a long oblong shape. But today I propose to make it into hearts. These sweet Valentine cards are a great way to express your love to your husband, lover, friends and colleagues. I am sure that compliments will be provided. For this, in addition to the necessary ingredients, you need to have a special shape in the form of hearts. If there is none, then you can form them yourself. This process will take longer, but it will be worth it.

Ingredients:
- Cookies, waffles, rolls, biscuit (anything of your choice) - 400 g
- Milk - 150 ml
- Carnation - 3 buds
- Allspice peas - 3 pcs.
- Cocoa powder - 2 tablespoons
- Butter - 50 g
- Sugar - 3 tablespoons or to taste
- Cognac - 30 ml
- Anise - 1-2 stars
- Cinnamon stick - 1 pc.
Step-by-step preparation of the "Hearts" potato cake, recipe with photo:
1. Pour the milk into a saucepan. Add butter, add 1 tbsp. cocoa powder, sugar and put all the spices: cinnamon stick, anise, cloves, allspice peas.
2. Boil the milk, stir to dissolve the butter completely and mix with the mass. Leave it to infuse and cool so that the milk is saturated with the aroma and taste of spices and spices.
3. Pour the coffee milk through a fine strainer into a convenient container to remove all the spices and herbs from the liquid. Pour in the cognac and stir. Instead of brandy, you can take another alcoholic drink: rum, whiskey, brandy.
4. Break the flour base you are using (biscuits, waffles, rolls, biscuit, crispbread) into pieces and put in a food processor.
5. Grind food until crumbly. If you don't have a food processor, twist the food through a meat grinder. Pour 1 tablespoon to the flour crumbs. cocoa powder and stir.
6. Pour the flour base into the milk liquid.
7. Knead the mixture until it acquires a homogeneous sticky consistency.
8. Arrange it in silicone heart-shaped molds and send it to the refrigerator. After 1-2 hours of cooling, remove the cake from the molds.
9. Decorate them with cocoa powder or finely crushed nuts and you can start drinking tea.
Note: if you do not have such molds, but you want to make hearts, then roll out the dough with a rolling pin on parchment paper 2 cm thick and cut out hearts from it with a knife. Remove the excess dough and do the same with it on another sheet of paper. After this, keep the products in the refrigerator.
