You can buy duck today in any supermarket or bazaar from farmers. It is sold fresh and frozen. Of course, it is better to give preference to fresh carcasses, but you should not be afraid to buy frozen ones either. If you defrost it correctly, then the bird will not lose its useful and taste properties. And correct defrosting consists in the duration, i.e. first in the refrigerator, and then at room temperature until completely thawed. If you follow this technology, then the duck meat will be very tasty, and it will be possible to cook many different dishes from it.
For example, duck is not only traditionally baked with apples, but also pilaf is cooked, soups, jellied meat are cooked, roasts are stewed, minced meat products are made and much more. Well, and of course, contrary to popular belief, the bird is suitable not only for roasting whole, it will certainly delight you with its excellent taste in any other dish. I would also like to note that duck meat is also very healthy. Since it contains many vitamins A, C, K, E and group B. In addition, it contains trace elements such as selenium, phosphorus, zinc, etc. It is also believed that meat has a positive effect on potency and improves lipid metabolism.

Ingredients:
- Duck meat - 1 kg (any parts)
- Carrots - 1 pc.
- Onion - 1 pc.
- Sweet pepper - 2 pcs.
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Hot pepper - 1/4 pod
- Ground paprika - 1 tsp
- Ground ginger - 1 tsp
- Ground black pepper - a pinch
- Vegetable oil - for frying
- Salt - 1 tsp or to taste
Cooking stew duck with vegetables
1. Wash the duck, gut, singe the remaining hairs and divide into parts. To make the dish less fat, remove the skin from the poultry. But if this factor does not scare you, then you can leave the skin.
Wash the meat, pat dry with a paper towel and place in a preheated frying pan with vegetable oil. Set the heat to high and fry the poultry, stirring occasionally, until golden brown.
2. In another skillet, heat the vegetable oil and add all the peeled and chopped vegetables to fry: carrots, onions and garlic.
3. Saute food over medium heat until transparent and add sweet peppers, peeled from seeds. It can be used frozen, this is especially helpful in winter when fresh vegetables are very expensive.
4. Stir the food and cook over medium heat for about 20 minutes.
5. Combine roasted vegetables and duck in one large skillet. Season food with salt, pepper and all the spices.
6. Pour in some drinking water, boil, reduce the temperature to a minimum and cook under a closed lid for 1 hour.
7. Serve hot with any side dish. Spaghetti, boiled rice, mashed potatoes and all kinds of cereals go very well with stewed duck.
