Ingredients:
- Hake - 3 pcs.
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Ground black pepper - a pinch
- Vegetable oil - for frying
- Seasoning for fish - 1 tsp
- Tomato paste - 3 tablespoons
- Salt - 1 tsp
- Onions - 2 pcs.
Step by step preparation of hake in tomato sauce, recipe with photo:
1. To prepare the sauce, in which the fish will be stewed, combine soy sauce, tomato paste, seasoning for fish, salt and black pepper. Mix well.
2. Since hake is most often sold frozen, thaw it first. Do it right: put the carcasses in a container and leave at room temperature until completely thawed. Then wash and dry them with a paper towel. Put the pan on the stove, add oil and heat well. Add fish and fry on both sides until golden brown. To keep the hake's natural fishy taste, it is better to fry it in refined odorless oil.
3. Peel the onions, wash and chop into half rings. In another skillet, heat the oil and add the onion.
4. Saute the onion over medium heat until transparent.
5. Place the fried hake on the fried onion pillow.
6. Pour the tomato sauce over the fish.
7. Turn on high heat and bring to a boil. Screw the temperature down to the minimum setting, cover the pan with a lid and simmer the fish for half an hour. Serve ready-made hake in tomato sauce with any side dish, warm or chilled.
