The hostess's chicken is cooked very often: it is an affordable and nutritious product that does not take a very long time to cook. We want to cook with you a dish that always brings happy smiles on the faces of my household. This is a baked chicken fillet cooked in foil in mustard. The whole secret is in the marinade in which we cook chicken - a mixture of mustard, aromatic spices and orange juice. The fillet turns out to be very tender, literally melting in the mouth, with a light citrus note - you just lick your fingers! This meat can be served with thin egg noodles or rice. - Chicken fillet - 300 g
- Vegetable oil - 1-2 tbsp. l.
- Hot mustard - 2 tbsp l.
- Spices (paprika, turmeric, coriander) - 1/3 tsp each.
- Lemon or orange - 0.5 pcs.
- Salt to taste
Cooking baked chicken fillet in foil in mustard step by step
1. First of all, prepare a mustard-based flavorful mixture in which we will bake the meat. To do this, grind mustard with salt and spices. Better to take hot mustard, "Russian" or "Home". This will not make the chicken overly spicy, but it will acquire a unique aroma. You press the juice of half an orange into the marinade - the citrus will make the meat soft and tender. You can remove the zest from the orange, but do not add it to the marinade so that it does not taste bitter, but add at the end of cooking for flavor.
2. Thoroughly rinse and dry the chicken fillet. Coat the mustard mixture on all sides. Let the meat marinate for 20-30 minutes.
3. Spread the fillets on a double layer of foil sprinkled with vegetable oil. We make three cuts so that the meat is baked evenly, and we wrap the foil, securing the edges securely.
4. We bake the chicken at 180-190 degrees for 35-40 minutes. 10 minutes before the end of cooking, carefully open the edges of the foil bag to brown the fillets. Now you can add a small amount of orange zest for flavor, just do not place it on top of the meat so that it does not give bitterness. It is better to throw it in the juice that came out during baking.
5. Let the finished chicken fillet stand for 10 minutes to rest the meat, and serve either whole or in portions, cut across the fibers. On the basis of the juice left after baking, you can prepare a very tasty and delicate sauce that will emphasize the taste of the dish. You just need to warm it up over a fire, adding a little orange juice and cream to it.
