Learn how to train on a steroid cycle if you are sick and if you can continue training while taking antibiotics. If antibiotics were prescribed to you during the treatment of the disease, then this fact speaks of the impotence of the body in front of the virus. Today we will talk about how you can combine antibiotics and sports. These honey preparations help the body fight off pathogens.
The cell structure of bacteria is different from the cell structure of the human body, and antibiotics can effectively fight them. In viral diseases, the situation is somewhat more complicated, since the virus does not have cellular structures. For reproduction, it is embedded in the cells of the host organism.
Now a large number of antibiotics are produced and their production is profitable for pharmaceutical companies. It should be admitted that the discovery of antibiotics was a real breakthrough in the field of medicine. Until these medicines appeared, a large number of people died from various infectious diseases. Antibiotics can also reduce the likelihood of complications after surgery.
Substances that can effectively fight harmful microorganisms are present in some plants, for example, garlic, hops, thyme, sage, etc. Also, antibacterial enzymes can be synthesized by some fungi and bacteria. This became possible in the course of evolution and some organisms, thus, were able to survive. For example, yeast fungi synthesize special toxins that kill certain types of bacteria that are susceptible to these substances.
The role of antibiotics in human life and health
Not all natural antibiotics can be used by humans. Some substances are poorly absorbed in the intestinal tract, while others have many side effects. Antibiotics, along with natural antibacterial substances synthesized in the body, are constituent elements of the body's humoral response to the appearance of harmful microorganisms in it.
An excellent example of this is insects, which produce large quantities of germicidal agents that kill germs. Antibiotics are widely used in medicine, but they have found a place for them in other spheres of human life. For example, drugs in this class are often used in animal husbandry. Thanks to their use, it is often possible to increase the growth of the livestock population by 50 percent.
When using small amounts of these drugs, the percentage of death of young animals is significantly reduced. However, this massive use of antibiotics can lead to negative results. For example, recently, cases of dysbiosis have become more frequent. Also, more and more resistant strains of pathogens of various diseases are emerging. All of this suggests that antibiotics should be used wisely. Like any medication, antibiotics have certain side effects. To avoid unpleasant moments, you need to take these drugs as directed. At the same time, you should not be afraid of them, because at the moment it is the most effective and, in fact, the only remedy for various infectious and viral diseases. Also note that according to the World Health Organization, more than 75 percent of drugs in the class of antibiotics are prescribed by doctors not rationally.
Antibiotics and sports - are they compatible?
Antibiotics are used by a person during the period of illness caused by any infection. These diseases can affect various systems of the human body. Sometimes only antibiotics can help you cope with the disease. Upon detection of pathogens, the body mobilizes all its resources to fight it. To do this, he is forced to take away immune reserves from solving other tasks that are not so urgent at the moment.
It is for this reason that during illness, we experience a breakdown and, first of all, it concerns acute forms of illness. If you are sick, then it is worth stopping classes until you are fully recovered. It takes time for the body to recover its resources after fighting off an infection.
After taking a course of antibiotics, it should be remembered that the body is weakened, and it is difficult for it to maintain the normal operation of all systems. Physical activity at this time is undesirable, as the body's recovery will slow down. One of the main negative aspects of the use of antibiotics is the effect of drugs not only on harmful microorganisms, but also on the microflora of the intestinal tract.
This is very important, as these bacteria contribute to the digestion process, synthesize the necessary micronutrients and have a positive effect on the functioning of the immune system. If antibiotics are used for a long time, this can lead to disruption of the intestinal tract, impair the metabolism of micronutrients and reduce the effectiveness of the immune system.
Antibiotics and sports should not be combined, since you can get the necessary results in the classroom provided you have a normal diet. If the intestinal tract does not cope with its task, then all your efforts will simply come to naught. No matter how you eat, the microflora after antibiotics is damaged, which will not allow you to achieve your goals.
If you want to combine antibiotics and sports, then instead of active exercises, you should tackle other sports-related issues. You can, say, watch instructional videos of new exercises. In the rehabilitation period after an illness, intensive training only depletes the body's reserves, the level of which is already low, since a lot of energy was spent on fighting the disease.
Vigorous exercise and antibiotics, when combined, can lower your immunity. In such a situation, you can get sick again. As a result, your downtime will drag on and you will have to spend more time recovering from its former form. Often, after a course of antibiotics, doctors will prescribe other drugs to help you recover faster.
When all the doctor's recommendations are exactly fulfilled, and the body has fully restored its resources, you can start visiting the gym again. In this case, you should not immediately load yourself heavily so as not to harm the body. The loads must be increased gradually.
During the period of illness, the body has lost the habit of strong physical exertion and it will take time to adapt. We recommend that after returning to training, use a load of 45 to 50 percent of the level of previous training. Do not chase results, but systematically increase the load. Depending on the severity of the illness, it can take up to four months to fully restore the former condition.
During this time, you can use the program for beginner athletes. This will allow the body to adapt to the new mode of operation, the immune system will recover, and the microflora will begin to work with the same efficiency. Thanks to muscle memory, you will return to your previous shape without harming your health. Scientists are sure that the longer the training experience of the athlete, the faster he will be able to get in shape. However, it is definitely not worth forcing events.
Antibiotics and sports - how and when to start exercising?
Let's talk in more detail about when to start exercising after an illness and how to do it correctly. You already understood that antibiotics and sports should not be combined, otherwise you will harm the body. First, you need to do some easy (introductory) sessions. Moreover, they should be very light, and their number depends on the severity of the illness.
At first, you can work with minimal weights or even with an empty bar. If you exercise at home, then do gymnastic exercises, and dumbbells should only be used with light weight. We categorically do not recommend trying to set new or at least repeat your records immediately after suffering an illness.
Only by gradually increasing the load will you be able to recover in a short time. Otherwise, the body will be overloaded and this is fraught with a new disease, because the immune system cannot work with the same efficiency until it regains its resources.
Introductory classes are, in fact, a warm-up. Your task at this point in time is to accelerate the recovery of the body. By accelerating blood flow, you activate energy processes, and this will allow the body to start working. It is better to train in a closed T-shirt and immediately put on dry clothes after the end of the lesson. If during the training you feel a deterioration in your condition, then stop exercising and wait a couple of days. Since the body has not yet recovered.
In every workout, work on all the muscles in your body. Remember when we said you should start using the Beginner Activity Programs? For each muscle group, it is enough to perform one or two basic exercises. The total number of movements should be about five or six. The number of sets can be 3-4 with 10-15 repetitions each. Since you need to use light weights, you can rest 60-120 seconds between sets.
As we have already said, the number of introductory sessions depends entirely on the severity of the illness. If you've missed a week, often just one light workout is enough. In acute forms of the disease, you will need 3-4 light sessions.
When you feel that the body has recovered, you can move on to the main training program. However, use medium weights for the first week, and then start to gradually increase them. You can also recommend taking vitamin C and eating more vegetables and fruits. These foods contain a large amount of micronutrients that are essential for the body during the recovery period from illness.
