You can cook a stew from absolutely any type of meat: pork, beef, lamb, chicken, etc. But as an ideal companion, it is preferable to choose vegetables, they do not interrupt, but harmoniously complement and emphasize the taste of meat. The methods of cooking stew today are varied: it is made in a frying pan, simmered in the oven, over an open fire, in pots, a slow cooker … Today we are preparing pork stew with pepper and onions in a frying pan. This is a second dish, simple in execution and in a set of ingredients, which can be an everyday option, as well as served on a festive table.
Any part of the pork carcass is suitable for its preparation: shoulder blade, tenderloin, neck. Although optional, this recipe can be used to make a stew with beef or chicken. Bell peppers mainly need to be taken in bright varieties (red or yellow), with them the dish looks more beautiful and attractive. The recipe can be supplemented with various spices and seasonings to taste, and sprinkle with any fresh herbs before serving. You can serve it on its own or in a company with boiled cereals, spaghetti, rice, etc.

Ingredients:
- Pork - 700 g
- Onions - 1 pc.
- Soy sauce - 2-3 tablespoons
- Ground black pepper - a pinch
- Vegetable oil - for frying
- Sweet bell pepper - 4 pcs.
- Salt - 0.5 tsp
- Greens (cilantro, parsley) - several sprigs
- Mustard - 1 tsp
Step by step cooking pork stew with pepper and onion, recipe with photo:
1. Wash the meat, cut off films, veins and excess fat. Dry it with a paper napkin and cut into strips 1-1.5 cm thick, 2.5-3 cm long. Heat the vegetable oil in a pan and place some of the meat so that it is located on the bottom in one layer, and the pieces do not come into contact with each other. Otherwise, if all the meat is immediately sent to the pan, then it will release juice, it will be stewed, and the dish will not turn out so juicy.
2. Fry one portion of the mass until golden brown and remove from the pan. Put another portion of pork in it, with which do the same. Cook all the meat in a similar manner in several stages.
3. Wash sweet bell peppers and dry with a paper towel. Trim the stalk, remove the seed box and cut off the septa. Cut the fruit into strips and place in a skillet with heated vegetable oil. Fry the peppers until golden brown, stirring occasionally.
4. Peel the onions, wash, chop in half rings and put them in a frying pan. Pass it until transparent.
5. In one large skillet, combine fried meat, fried eggplant and sautéed onions.
6. Put mustard, black pepper and soy sauce into a frying pan. Stir, taste and add salt as needed. Fry the food until tender, i.e. the softness of meat and sweet pepper.
7. At the end of cooking, add finely chopped herbs to the pan.
8. Stir the ingredients, fry for 3-5 minutes and serve hot pork stew with pepper and onion with any side dish.
