Such cheesecakes are prepared very simply. It will not take a lot of time and labor to make it, while you can surprise all eaters, because not every housewife adds poppy seeds to cheesecakes. The taste and appearance of curd cakes turns out to be very unusual. Such cheesecakes are great not only for breakfast, but also for an afternoon snack, dinner or a light snack. Serve them deliciously with condensed milk, jam, honey or sour cream.
For cheesecakes, use cottage cheese with a fat content of 5% or more. Then they will turn out to be more juicy and tender. But if you are afraid for extra pounds, then take low-fat cottage cheese. Also, make sure that the cottage cheese is with a low moisture content, otherwise the dough will be too liquid and you will have to add more flour, from which you will not get cheese cakes, but pancakes with cottage cheese. If there is no suitable cottage cheese, then fold it onto cheesecloth folded in several layers or put it in a fine sieve and let the excess whey drain. Soak poppy seeds in warm water for one hour or boil for 15 minutes. So you will reduce the time for preparing cheesecakes.
