Delicious chocolate cake with cherries based on shortcrust pastry. He prepares simply, such a task will be up to any hostess, including even the inexperienced. And not very much time is spent on cooking. Therefore, this recipe will be especially useful when friends unexpectedly come, and there is nothing to serve for tea. Then such a dessert will come to the rescue.
For the filling, you can use not only fresh berries, but also frozen or canned cherries. In this case, the frozen berries must be defrosted before cooking. Then pour the frozen or canned fruits into a colander or sieve to drain excess liquid. However, cherry jam or jam is suitable instead of berries. Also, if desired, cherries can be replaced with other fruits and berries that are available: blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, currants and others. Ingredients:
- Flour - 300 g
- Sugar - 100 g or to taste
- Cocoa powder - 3 tablespoons
- Cherries - 300 g
- Eggs - 1 pc.
- Salt - a pinch
- Butter - 200 g
Step by step preparation of chocolate grated cherry pie, recipe with photo:
1. In a deep large bowl, pour flour and cocoa powder, sifted through a fine sieve, a pinch of salt and 1 tbsp. Sahara.
2. Stir dry ingredients.
3. Grate the cold butter and add to the dry mass.
4. Use your hands to stir the butter and flour until finely crumbled.
5. Add the chilled egg to the dough.
6. Knead to a smooth, homogeneous dough so that it looses from the walls of the dishes and hands. Divide it in half into 2 equal parts and form a round shape.
7. Place the dough in a plastic bag and refrigerate for 1 hour or freezer for 20 minutes.
8. Line a baking dish with baking parchment and coarsely grate one half of the dough. Smooth it out evenly.
9. Wash the cherries and dry them with a paper towel. Remove the seeds, place in a sieve to drain the juice and lay the berries on the dough in an even layer. Sprinkle them with sugar.
10. On top of the cherries, place the second part of the grated dough on a coarse grater.
11. Place the chocolate grated cherry pie in a preheated oven to 180 degrees and bake for 40 minutes. Cool the finished product in the mold, because hot, it is very fragile and can break.
