Fruit salad is a sweet dish made from a mixture of fresh fruits cut into small pieces. They will decorate any everyday and festive table. Dessert will come in handy at a dinner party, buffet table and children's party. Both adults and children like fruit salads, and you can cook them from any fruit. Only ripe and fresh fruits are selected for the dish. Salad is usually served chilled as a dessert. The shelf life of fruit salad is very limited, even in the refrigerator.
Salad traditionally has no dressing. However, you can use sweet sauces, sour cream, milk, yogurt, whipped cream, honey, chocolate, cocoa, fruit juices, syrups. Based on these products, you can make a complex component dressing from several ingredients. Lemon juice is sometimes added to fruit salads, which adds freshness and preserves the appearance of the fruit. A small amount of alcohol gives a special note: rum, cognac or liqueur. Ingredients:
- Melon - 100 g
- Honey - 1 tsp
- Pears - 1 pc.
- Dry red wine - 1 tbsp
- Apples - 1 pc.
- Peaches - 100 g
Step by step preparation of fruit salad from melon, peaches, apples and pears, recipe with photo:
1. Wash the peaches, having thoroughly cleaned the skin from dust. Dry the fruit with a paper towel, remove the pit and cut into wedges or cubes.
2. Wash the pears, dry them with a napkin, cut off the stalks, remove the core from the pits and seeds with a special knife, and cut them into pieces. Remove the skin if it is too tough.
3. With apples, do exactly the same as with pears: wash, dry, peel and cut.
4. Wash the melon, dry it, cut off a couple of slices, from which cut off the skin and clean the seeds. Cut the fruit into slices.
5. Place all fruits in a deep bowl. If you will not be serving the salad right away, sprinkle the fruit with lemon juice so that it does not darken, and refrigerate it.
6. Pour honey on the fruit.
7. Season with red wine. If you are preparing a salad for a children's table, then use fruit juice instead of alcohol.
8. Stir the salad and serve. To avoid chilling the salad before serving, keep all fruits in the refrigerator before cooking. Place the healthy fruit salad of melons, peaches, apples and pears in portioned bowls and serve with the dessert table. Add a scoop of ice cream if desired.
