Find out how to choose the right trainer for training in the gym and what parting words he should give you in the training process. Most of the visitors to the halls base their classes on information taken from specialized magazines or the Internet. As a result, a lot of confusion arises from the abundance of information, which, moreover, can be contradictory. The best option for effective training is to involve a trainer. Today you know what your bodybuilding coach should be like.
If a person decides to do any kind of sport, say, gymnastics or boxing, then first of all he tries to find a good coach. In bodybuilding, most athletes do not attach any importance to this at all. Many are sure that if you start using the pro-athlete training method, the result will come very quickly.
However, everything is not as simple as it might seem. If you look closely at the visitors of the halls, you can distinguish several groups:
- Group 1 - there are about 15 percent of such visitors and their main task is to keep fit. Which does not lead to serious results.
- Group 2 - most athletes belong to this category, from 60 to 70 percent. They strive to gain maximum mass and then proudly visit the beaches.
- Group 3 - about a quarter of the visitors are genetically gifted athletes who, with sufficient perseverance, are able to achieve good results.
- Group 4 - units, the appearance of which makes a strong impression.
If you observe these categories of visitors for some time, you can draw certain conclusions. Representatives of the first group achieve almost everything they want and maintain a stable shape.
In the second group, progress is often very insignificant or even absent. Those who were able to achieve results move into the third category. This third group is characterized by a lack of progress dynamics and, at best, one or two people out of a hundred will be able to achieve great results. Only representatives of the latter category are constantly moving forward, and it is they who should become a guideline for you.
From these observations, we can conclude that in order to achieve a good result in bodybuilding, you cannot do without a trainer. Of course, we are talking about a good mentor who was able to achieve certain goals and has something to share with the charges.
What to expect from working with a coach?
If we talk about what results can be achieved with training with a mentor, then you can increase the size of the biceps to 46 centimeters, press about 170 kilos, and squat with 170-180 kilograms. It is safe to say that you will avoid a lot of mistakes common to novice athletes. So let's figure out what mistakes are most often made by athletes.
Frequent change of training programs and methods
Often, athletes pay too much attention to training programs. If you think that this is the key to success in bodybuilding, then you are mistaken. About half or a little less of your success depends on training. Often a person uses the program for a couple of months, after which he decides to change it. Now it is very easy to do it with the help of the Internet and print media.
Having started to apply the new "magic" training technique, after the same couple of months, it changes again. Of course, there will be little progress in this case, but very soon you will be convinced that all this time, in fact, have been marking time. What to do - look for a new program again?
Do not rush to do this, since, most likely, the reason for the lack of progress lies not in the program. Think about nutrition and sports supplements. It is possible that the body does not have time to recover and you should help it with this by starting to use appropriate supplements and drugs. At the same time, you cannot start using everything, including AAS.
At this point, an experienced trainer would be very useful to you, who would help you draw up the correct nutritional program and would suggest which pharmacology should be used. However, the question is, how do you know how good the coach is? Free for you, no one to do, or nothing will be, and you need to trust a stranger, about whom practically nothing is known.
It turns out that everything is not so complicated. If the instructor cannot give you practical advice on nutrition and pharmacology, but only helps with the training program, then his qualifications raises a lot of questions. The program for beginners is very simple and you do not need to boggle your head with various negative or forced repetitions, cheating, etc. All of these techniques are designed for experienced athletes.
Technique is the key to success
Most athletes perform all movements technically incorrectly, and do not even try to eliminate this deficiency. Many athletes, seeing that in the program they have found, it is necessary to perform five sets with eight repetitions in each, will try to do them in any case. They do not care at all how they will do it, but it is the exercise technique that makes up the lion's share of your success. For example, consider the popular bench press.
This exercise is designed to train your chest muscles. If you use a narrow grip, then most of the load will be on the triceps, and with a wide grip, on the deltas. You can load the pectoral muscles only with the middle grip. Your back should be pressed firmly against the bench, and your feet should rest on the ground. Taking the shell, you lower it to your chest at about nipple level or slightly higher.
Without using the bounce, it is necessary to squeeze the bar up. So that the load does not go to the triceps, the elbow joints should be placed perpendicular to the body. During the entire movement, the sports equipment should be above the chest. It seems that it is very simple, but most of the visitors to the halls do the bench press incorrectly. You should understand that it is better to start with a low weight and master the exercise technique.
A coach will help you avoid technical mistakes. As a result, your progress will be obvious.
